Texans Sonna & Tim Ryan opened The BBQ Joint in July, 2006. After retiring from AT&T, they were encouraged by their children living in the Pacific Northwest to bring some good Southern barbeque to this area.

Whidbey Island seemed the perfect place - a beautiful island, a nice town and thousands of hungry sailors. It turned out to be the perfect choice.  The BBQ Joint is proud to be a part of Team Whidbey.
